Illustrations for Us of America Magazine issue Two. It's special focus was on Minnesota and these are illustrations of fun facts about the state. Minnesota has the longest water border, masking tape and Milky Way chocolate bars were invented there, it's illegal to hitch-hike, drive a muddy car and eat hamburgers on Sunday there and Minneapolis has more golf players per capita than any other city in USA.
It's a story about a girl who's family moves to a new city and her miraculous encounter with a talking squirrel.
Forage for Porridge - that's a collection of children poems by Latvian author Leons Briedis which I had an opportunity to illustrate. It contains many playful rhymes including my favorite chapter about dog ball.

Poem "Special Names" by Imants Ziedonis is about mosquitos, squirrels, birds, giving names and making friends in the forest.
